REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The 2017 Creativity Expert Exchange will feature multiple learning opportunities. We value the knowledge and experience of presenters and participants and, therefore, seek experts who can strike a balance between sharing content/expertise and facilitating the rich dialogue and engagement among participants. We invite you to submit proposals for the workshop formats listed below.
Many faculty members and graduates of the International Center for Studies in Creativity (ICSC) are collaborating on research, writing, and practical applications of creativity. This 90-minute workshop round is an opportunity for these dynamic duos or trios to share the initiatives that continue to keep the ICSC on the cutting edge of creativity. Only faculty/alumni presentation teams will be considered for this round. Submit a proposal.
The Creativity Practitioner
Have you ever tackled a difficult challenge in your work as a creativity practitioner (i.e. writing winning proposals, dealing with large groups, working with challenging clients)? We are looking for presenters who will facilitate a learning environment in which participants can explore their own challenges in business, non-profit, and educational settings. Dust off what you learned about the Torrance Incubation Model (TIM) or use 4Mat 4 Business to plan your workshop.
How might you help other experts tackle their own challenges? What are all the ways you might learn from other experts during your workshop? This workshop round is 90 minutes and we encourage you to "present" for no more than twenty minutes and use the remaining time for dialogue and experiential learning. Submit a proposal.
As the saying goes, "Less is more." CEE talks follow that principle. The International Center for Studies in Creativity is searching for seven creativity experts to present short (7-10 min) "TED-like" talks to expand our experience of applied creativity and innovation. These presentations are intended to be brief and thought-provoking snapshots of the current pulse of creativity and innovation. Submit a proposal.
Are you ready to facilitate a group dive into a creative topic? We are looking for experts who know how to present a topic in order to set the stage for engaging dialogue among workshop participants. This is an exchange not a one-way presentation. We are interested in workshops that are developed using a solid adult learning model (i.e. TIM, 4MAT) and build on the applied knowledge in the community. How might you bring something new, fresh, practical, relevant, and useful to the community? What are all the ways you might learn from other experts during your workshop? This workshop round is two hours and we encourage you to "present" for no more than twenty minutes and use the remaining time for dialogue and experiential learning. Ready. Set. DIVE! Submit a proposal.
